Portrait Questions

Here's some answers...

Our experience tells us that there'll be questions you'd like to ask about our portrait services.
Here are the most common ones we're asked - but if you still can't find the right answer, please get in touch...

What should we wear?

Avoid formal clothes - it's not our style! Chances are you'll end up sitting on the floor, so casual is going to be a keyword. Our portrait style is relaxed so the Sunday best just won't cut it.
Try to avoid clothing with big logos and patterns - they'll just detract from your face (which is the main focus of most portraits). The whole point of the session is to capture 'you' - not the clothes you're wearing. (if it's a fashion shoot you'd prefer then have a look at the model portfolios section of our web site).
With groups it's a good idea to pick a 'theme', but don't stick rigidly to it. If you all wear slight variations of a chosen colour then you'll coordinate well together - without looking too cheesy!

How far in advance should we book?

We offer a limited number of portrait sessions and would therefore suggest that you book well in advance if you have a specific date in mind.

In general we operate Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm.

How do we get to see our photographs?

Your photos will be available to view in our studio approximately 5-10 days after your portrait session. An appointment for your viewing session will be made straight after your photography session so please bring your diary with you.
At the viewing you can purchase reprints, canvas prints, frames, albums, etc.
You should allow up to one hour to view your images so that you won't be making 'rush' decisions.

How long will it take to get my prints?

Usually it takes around three weeks to prepare your order (although it can take longer if frames are included).
However, if you have a deadline to meet, please let us know - We can usually hit them!

What print sizes do you offer?

We offer print sizes from 8"x6" upwards as standard.
Smaller prints are available, but 8"x6" prints and under are all the same price.
Larger non-standard print sizes can also be produced. Let us know what you'd like and we'll give you a quotation.
Our service is bespoke and so we can usually accomodate most requests.

When do we pay?

For location portraits, payment is required two weeks in advance of your session. Studio portraits are paid for on the day of the session.
We accept VISA and MASTERCARD credit/debit cards, and cash (remember that?).
Payment is required with any orders for prints and frames at your viewing session.

Did we answer your question? If not, please get in touch and we'll try!
